Husaria Australia research between the battle of Orsha in 1514, fought between the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland, against the Grand Duchy of Moscow, and the battle of Vienna in 1683. When the siege was broken by an attack of the combined forces of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and its allies.
We study the geographic area from the Black sea to the Baltic. Including primarily the Szlachta of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, but also the Kingdom of Hungary. We also study the Ukrainian Cossacks, and their Swede, Moscovite, and Ottoman foe.
Husaria Australia use what we learn from our research to construct and display at events everyday civilian and military items from the time period. We educate at these events via a combination of living history and static display.
